How to use this VCE ATAR calculator
Select your subjects first, including an English study, then enter your raw study scores. For a subject you completed in an earlier year, select official scaled input and use the scaled result from that year. Add a fifth or sixth subject if you have one. The calculator shows the primary four, increments and scaled aggregate.
Planning for the 2026 VCE
This tool uses published 2025 VTAC scaling and aggregate tables, with a 2024 comparison. Final 2026 scaling is not available yet. A historical estimate can help you compare scenarios; it cannot guarantee your final ATAR. Read how a VCE ATAR is calculated and inspect the data sources and calculation method.
Does a fifth or sixth subject always help?
A permissible fifth or sixth scored subject can add 10% of its scaled score. It cannot replace your compulsory English contribution, and group restrictions can affect what counts.
Why is my result different from another calculator?
Different calculators can use different years, interpolation methods, rounded scaling values and subject group rules. This calculator exposes its contributions and uses the full published historical aggregate bands.
Can this include SEAS or subject adjustments?
No. Your ATAR and a course’s selection rank are different. Selection adjustments and prerequisites depend on the course and current admissions rules.
